I also have the Sherline and althoughit is a very fine mill for small stuff I find I use my mini mill more. Even with the plastic gears it takes better cuts and can handle larger projets. Recently I discovered that the end of the smooth roller was cracked so I ordered a replacement roller from Harbor Freight (and it is exactly the right part).
